Loved the shoes. But, we're not wide enough for my husband. Had to send them back. I kept mine.

I work as a Corrections Officer. So, having shoes that can handle water, are comfortable for long distances, and can manage a slick surface are all important. So far after just about a month of constant daily use, they've held up well and broken in comfortably. They certainly have been put to the test for the more "demanding" portions of working in a corrections environment and have held up well so far. I sincerely look forward to wearing them for as long as possible (and replacing them with another pair of Woobie Shoes when that day may come!).

Great looking shoes! Unfortunately they fit terrible. Got the wides only to wonder how narrow the originals are because I can't wear these shoes for more than an hour. Paid good money for these and I've only worn them once for a full day. Been sitting in my closet for almost a year. I hope your newer inventory fits better.
Tom m.
Good build, deffinatly need to be stretched, they run small and skinny. Even the wides.
Jason B.
The 10 wide fit my Flintstone feet perfectly, and they are all day comfortable tight out of the box.
Marsha H.
I bought these shoes for my son to work in, the shoes did not fit, so he returned them within days of receiving them. I have not received my refund or my credit card credited , it’s been over one month. The shoes cost $160. plus tax. I tried to call the company, the call did not go through and I sent an email with no response. I do not recommend this company.

MAKE 'EM WIDER! Put them on for the first time last night and did about 2.5 miles of city walking in them. Feet were sore afterward. I ordered the wides, but it is still way too narrow in the toe box-- my pinky toes are squished. I do have concerns about blowing out the stitching on around the widest part of my foot because of it. We'll see if they relax after a break-in period.
Other than the tightness, though, everything else seems great. The sole seems solid as well as the canvas upper. Most of all, these are some aesthetically pleasing, minimally designed shoes. I'm eager to see what kind of grip they provide while I'm cycling around the city.
Bottom line: Great styling and seemingly reliable construction, but not comfortable enough at this point to be my daily go-to. At the $160 price point, hard to see myself purchasing another pair until they're wider.
Gavin S.
I tried them on and they looked and worked fine. They run pretty narrow though. I had to get a size bigger and extra wide and they’re still a bit snug.
Then the second time I put them on to wear them out the tab on the heel of the shoe that helps get them on ripped off. Hopefully the grip stays good.

First pair I got required a long break in period, Not an issue of breaking in, an issue of width. They were narrow, however the interior ripped out and they replaced them no questions asked. A+++. The replacement they sent were EXTREMELY Narrow. My feet where over 1/4" over the sole on both sides, both shoes.
I am regretfully requesting a refund, which I wish the first pair didnt rip out because after the break in they were EXTREMELY comfortable
Julian G.
These shoes are extremely uncomfortable. I've worn them 3 or 4 times hoping they would break in a little but they are very stiff and very narrow. I purchased the wide and they are more narrow than my chucks. The whole reason I bought them was because they were "wide" but I have redness and peeled skin on my small and big toe. I would not recommend these shoes to anyone who isn't a rock climber or a ballerina. I attempted to send them back but was told since I wore them I couldn't return them so I'm stuck with $160.00 pair of shoes or torture devises. Thank you for nothing!!
Michael M.
Absolutely amazing shoes! Love the material they chose to make the shoe and very comfortable to wear right out the box
Travis T.
Ordered wide and they are still so narrow I can not wear them and had to give them away.
joseph s.
Great boots, comfortable right out of the box!
Cameron A.
I want to love them but they are just too darn narrow. Very well crafted, aesthetically pleasing, and made is the USA but please widen the dang toebox.
Walt E.
End result is a 5 star...
After an extreme break in period... Thick Wool socks and then gradually thinner socks until barefoot for final break in.
These are EXTREMELY TIGHT... Wides are not wide... just slightly wideR than regular width I am guessing.
however after the break in they are great!!!

After my first pair fell apart in a couple months, the company sent a replacement. Sadly this pair BROKE as I was pulling them on! I’m in the process of seeing about another replacement.
Danika J.
Best ever, customer service. I say this because over a year ago I purchased a pair of woobie shoes and they fell apart within the first 3 months of use. I brought my issue to customer service and I was immediately refunded my full purchase amount. I was also ensured that I would receive a new pair when they got in a shipment of my size (13 wide). I had all but forgotten about that offer and much to my satisfaction I received them last month. I was never forgotten about. That sales team kept their word. I appreciate that tremendously. A year later after a full refund and I still got a pair of brand new shoes out of the deal. If you want a brand that stands by their products, this is the one.

I had the pleasure of trying out the Woobies Black MOD-2 shoes, and I must say, they exceeded my expectations in both style and comfort. First and foremost, the design of these shoes is sleek and modern. The all-black color gives them a versatile and timeless look that pairs well with various outfits. Whether you're heading to the office, running errands, or going for a casual night out. Comfort is where these shoes truly shine. The insoles provide excellent support for your feet throughout the day. Whether you're standing for long periods or walking around, the MOD-2 ensures that your feet remain comfortable and fatigue-free. The soft lining inside adds an extra layer of coziness, making them a joy to wear. One notable feature is the lightweight construction of the shoes. Despite their robust appearance, the MOD-2 is surprisingly light, making them easy to wear for extended periods without feeling weighed down. This is a significant advantage for those who prioritize comfort during their daily activities.
Gavin W.
Not worth it. $160 for a shoe advertised to be more durable than a $65 chuck, but the mod2 fell apart in nine months(compared to the years chucks last). Sole stitching is weak and comes apart with daily wear and tear. The company also took my original review down where I first reported the stitching issue but gave 4 stars.
Johnathan H.
Amazing product, I highly recommend these shoes for all kinds of activities.
Dylan J.
Mod ones are junk. Fall apart fast and it’s super interesting that they never post low star reviews. Just keep cherry picking the reviews you guys so that you’re product looks better than it really is. Anyone who actually uses their gear and buys your shoes know that they are pieces of junk
Jordan C.
Compared my mod1 to mod2 wide, was a difference of maybe 1mm in width, but mainly more room for the pinky toe. They changed the breather hole brass, I poked my finger on the screen of the mod 2, great for testing blood sugar. Would like to see another shape offered, maybe one with no breather holes so I can make water proof/resistant.
Andrew
Shoes came out of the box looking really nice. Like others have mentioned, the fit is a bit tight and I got 11W. The heel strap of one shoe broke off as I was pulling my shoe over my heel, which was a bit disappointing. Hoping to break them in within the next few days.
Kayleb W.
I have always been a chuck taylor wearer but I have wide feet. The woobies wide fit perfect! My feet don’t blow out the sides. The quality of the shoe feels better as well. The fact that woobies are American made and veteran operated just made these shoes my number 1 go to! Will buy a couple more pairs.
*cough* make a coyote tan or FDE woobie *cough*
Jeremy W.
Initially from opening the box the shoes look great. Build quality looks great. The reason I'm giving three stars is the fitment. I bought the wides cause I wear a true 10EE. These are no wear near wide and fit possibly tighter than a standard D width shoe. Do not buy these expecting a true wide shoe cause it is by far not one. Hoping they stretch out and break in with my shoe stretchers cause I really like the shoes beyond that. Love the idea and shoe just hate that it's not an actual EE shoe like advertised. If Woobies ever come out with a true EE wide fit I would buy one of every color but until then I'm afraid this will probably be my last pair.
Dan B.
These are the kind of shoes I buy 5 pairs of to make sure I have them for years to come. Both a classic style, available in wide and functional for hard workouts, and everyday life. Super stoked
Brandon
They seem like a down grade in quality from the first pair of shoes I bought the stitching for the bottoms was popping out 10 days after wearing them they were good shoes but the quality of the fasteners/stitching and glue need alot of work in the quality control department I now switched to 5.11 to try them instead what a shame I loved these shoe's
Mike F.
Unfortunately i think they are more narrow than your typical chuck taylor sneakers - but they looked great, felt like they’d last a good while, but I had to return them.
Aaron
Really like the shows but 11/2E is not wide enough. I contacted woobies and am waiting for a response.
Zachary
So far i love them. My main worry is how long they will survive with the things they will be put through. But time will tell!
Jesus
Great show and very comfortable and stylish..
Juan
Absolutely love these shoes. I’ve hiked with them through rain and shine and they’re fantastic! I will be ordering more upon the destruction of my current pair, if not sooner. Keep up the exemplary work!
Dan B.
Love the shoes for the most part, the complaint is these are supposed to be wides and they don’t feel like wides. They are very similar to the regular sizing and fit
Matt H.
Probably the best all around shoe I've bought. I'm hard on footwear and these have held up longer than most name brands. I'll be buying the Mod 1's next.
If you feet are on the wider side definitely order the wides. Thank you Woobies for a great product.
Kristian F.
Fit narrower than expected. I have an average width foot and am not over weight. That makes it mildly uncomfortable
Michael H.
VERY Tight....needing an extended break in period. USING stretcher to get them to fit..A wide shoe they are not...
Still love the look and only wish the sizing for wide was true. They should break in ok..just not as quick as I would like.
Joshua
While they are comfortable, i have worn them twice, and the outsole has started to separate from the shoe. I have the shoe version of this boot, and its fantastic. The boot, im pretty disappointed with unfortunately
Jesse B.
Based on the reviews, I went for the wide in the Mod2. This is the first time I have ever bought a wide shoe, and they were still narrow. Due to the holidays and etc. by the time I realized they were too narrow it was beyond the 30 days. The shoes are not marked for size or width in any way (no tag or anything sown in), just a sticker on the tongue so I'm not convinced they were actually the wides. I tried a shoe stretcher, and it has helped some. Hopefully with the combination of normal break in and the shoe stretcher in the off hours they will be wearable. The good of the shoe is that they appear to be well made, and the material is very comfortable.
David L.
My son loves everything about his shoes; unusual for a teen! He said they're very sturdy and comfortable. Specifically, he really likes the footbed and says "it's like they hug my feet.".
Justin D.
Got wides and glad I did. I wear a 13m and these shoes are narrow. I’d say more narrow than chuck taylors. I wear chucks, vans and my duty shoe is the Altima maritime assualt boot. Wanted these because they seemed like a good mix of my duty shoe and civi shoe. I wish they had more tread like my Altima. Climbing on a ladder with no lugs gets a little sketchy. The material and fit and finish was decent(time will tell) but the rubber on the front slutty peeled off after one range day. The kneeling position seemed to do that to it. As far as overall style I wish the Toe box was wider. My feet start to cramp after a while. I find it strange that these are marketed as a tactical shoe and able to hike the pct. I would not wear these for duty. And I def would be caught hiking with these. Overall I’m glad I got these on sale with mil discount because they are nowhere near the price asked. Now if they widened toe box, added some minor lugs or grip on bottom and lowered price I’d say these are winners, but then again I might just buy altimas instead.
Sam G.
Had to go up half a size, but once I did, I found the best fitting shoes I've ever worn. These things will cope with anything. Truly great shoe!
Chad D.
Pretty good. They look fly and the slip resistance is ideal for bar work. The heel strap tore off in the first week and the eyelet grates are falling off, but those aren't really deal breakers for me. Haven't put in too much mileage yet but would probably buy again as work and out-on-the-town shoes at this rate.
Larell A.
I love these! Definitely get the wide if you have remotely wide feet. I wear a 13 regular in converse and my wide Woobies are about the same width.
I originally purchased them to replace my monochrome black Converse high tops that are expensive and always falling apart. . The Woobies are more formal looking though, and quite sturdy.
In terms of office dress code, I’d say the all black high tops could flex between casual and business casual. Can’t wait till the all gray ones are back in stock!
Kellen M.
Great shoe. Great quuality. Not as "wide" as I hoped.
Jasmin S.
Really not that wide. Bought for my husband and he has only worn twice because they caused blisters and he's waitinggor yhem to heal before he tries to break them in some more. Should have listened to the reviews mentioning how they weren't wide. He has MOD-1s (they are a few years old) and I think the width is the same...before they made "wide" shoes.
Tony
I ordered a wide, but they’re a little tight around the toes. Otherwise they’re good.
Mark
Such good shoes, had to get a backup pair during their sale!
Mike H.
Good quality
I ordered wides and still feel a bit slim. They fit me fine but I feel like that might trip up someone with wIder feet
Gilbert D.
The shoes are great however they do require a slight brake in period. With that being said this is my second pair and both have exceeded my expectations with regard to comfort and durability.
Michael
Great looking shoes. Unfortunately even the wide is still too narrow.
Corey
Shoes where not wide fit the same s as the original mod 1
Scott D.
The wide fit pretty much like regular width in other brands. I had a pair of the regular width mod 1s and they never got comfortable because they were so narrow.
I also replaced the insole with a superset green and that helped a lot, I would now confidently recommend woobies. Quality is good and they look great!
Christopher D.
Good evening, I'm Chris and I am a yard checker. I walk between 9 to 15 miles a night. They are one of the best shoes. The only issue with them is a winter version. I enjoy them and I try to walk my feet through the sole.
Michael
Fit well and are realy comfortable
Dylan G.
Bought some MOD 1’s a while back and they felt very narrow and tight. These wide MOD 2 made a big difference
Virgil M.
Okay first, sizing - these are *narrow* for size, IMO. I generally take a 13 regular, and reading reviews that advised to buy a size up for width, I was delighted to see them bring out wide sizes - just when I was shopping for new boots!
So I bought 13 wide . . . And they fit . . . BUT they were pretty damn tight across the ball of my foot, so much so that I briefly considered returning them. But I liked them and decided to give them a day or so. So, I’m maybe two weeks in (and I work from home so this is not daily wear) and already they’re loosening up and each time I wear them they’re more forgiving, so I think they’ll break in and be comfortable in the end.
Looks like the Classic Converse Chucks, but don’t feel like them - sole is thicker, noticeably so, but not so thick that it feels like a combat boot; very nice compromise thickness. Heavy canvas uppers and a nice sturdy pull tab on the back *really* helps pull them on without fearing that I’m going to pull out the tab. Laces could be a tad longer but are long enough.
Very comfortable (excepting for the narrowness I already covered, which is reducing).
I’m happy with them, pending the anticipated break in, which, if it continues to go well I will be super pleased. Excellent quality and I expect excellent durability. I had GoRuck boots before and they lasted like 6 years before needing replacement, so that’s the bar. Thus far I feel good about the boot/shoes going the distance.
Wil C.
The shoes arrived relatively quickly after purchase. I normally don't find the waterproof insoles comfortable but these are working out pretty good. For a "wide" they are still slightly snug in the sides but not uncomfortable. Fantastic everyday shoe.
Dylan
These are some of the most comfortable shoes ever. They are my second pair and I love the all use occasions of them. Love that they added the wide to the shoe got a bit if a wider foot so these are absolutely perfect.
Matt K.
These mod 2s in wide feel tighter than the mod 1s in wide.
Very comfortable.
